FACTS ON CANCER
In a year that each of us celebrates another birthday, there will be over 1,370,000 people diagnosed for the first time with cancer.1 During the same time period the American Cancer Society estimates over 570,000 people will die from some form of the dreaded disease.1 If those numbers aren’t enough to help you recognize the seriousness of this fight, then this will:
1 out of every 2 men
and
1 out of every 3 women
will experience some form of cancer
in their life.1
There is no excuse to not participate in some way with helping our science and healthcare communities in their efforts to find new drugs, treatments and surgical techniques to counter this disease. So our fight is still on, and every second counts in assuring that fewer people will suffer from this killer. As we travel through our daily lives, please take a moment and ask yourself what you can do to help. If we expect to continue to improve the chances of those individuals diagnosed with cancer we’ll need your donations and support. Our contributions make a difference with the improved methods of diagnosing, and delivery of services and comfort care to people who are cancer sufferers. Please give to The Falcon Foundation and the fight against cancer; every dollar counts.
